Description
Late-antique synagogues in Galilee and elsewhere were paved with mosaics depicting the Torah ark, the menorah, the zodiac or biblical scenes, with donor inscriptions in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek. Their fragments document synagogue art and liturgy.
