Description
Small engraved stone cylinder rolled over clay to produce a relief scene, some of which evoke motifs close to biblical narratives such as the sacred tree. It comes from the cultural milieu from which Abraham emerged.
Significance
It sheds light on the Mesopotamian background of the patriarchal narratives and of Genesis.
