Kutno, a city in Mazovia-Łódź, was home to an ancient Jewish community documented since the sixteenth century, active in the grain and textile trade. During the Shoah, the Jews of Kutno were concentrated in a ghetto established in a sugar refinery before being deported to Chelmno.
