Born in Białystok, went up to Eretz Israël in 1891. Hebrew journalist and writer: he collaborated from 1891 with Ḥabatselet, Hatsfira, Hamelits, was for a long time correspondent in Jerusalem for the Morgn-zhurnal (New York) and wrote under several pseudonyms (Hatsofe, Abi-Zvi, Ish-Yehudi…). Teacher (Jaffa, Ekron, Jerusalem) and co-founder of institutions, including the Mizrahi movement.
