Bibliographer who devoted about twenty years to the « Otzar ha-Sefer ha-Ivri » (Thesaurus of the Hebrew Book), an inventory describing approximately 32,000 Hebrew books printed in the world from the beginning of printing until 1863 (computerized edition: 1468–1948).
