Member of the great family of bankers da Pisa of Tuscany. Author of treatises that first circulated in manuscript and were later printed: a treatise on credit and interest (Hayyei Olam / Ma'amar Hayei Olam) and Minhat Kena'ot, a work criticizing Aristotelianism and defending a kabbalistic approach. His works were published in the 19th–20th centuries (Minhat Kena'ot by D. Kaufmann, Berlin 1898; Hayyei Olam by G. S. Rosenthal, 1962).
