Shlomo ben Abraham ibn Aderet (1235-1310), dit le Rashba, fut rabbin de la grande synagogue de Barcelone durant cinquante ans et l'autorité halakhique majeure de son temps (surnommé « El Rab d'España »). Élève de Nahmanide et de Yona Gerondi, il reçut des questions de tout le monde juif ; ses milliers de responsa ont profondément marqué la codification ultérieure du droit, jusqu'au Choulhan Aroukh.
