Il reparaît ensuite lors de l'invasion de Juda et du siège de Jérusalem par Chichak, roi d'Égypte, pour annoncer que, les princes d'Israël s'étant humiliés, la colère de Dieu contre leur idolâtrie ne s'abattrait pas sur Jérusalem par la main de Chichak.
