Palestinian talmudist active in Safed at the end of the seventeenth century, student of Isaac Alfandari. He is the author of the « Bene Ya'aqov » (Constantinople, 1714), a commentary on part of the « Sefer ha-Ittour » of Isaac b. Abba Mari, accompanied by responsa and notes on the « Yad » of Maimonides and on the four Tourim of Jacob b. Asher; his premature death at thirty-one years left the work unfinished.

Talmudiste palestinien; florissant à Safed à la fin du dix-septième siècle; élève d'Isaac Alfandari. Il fut l'auteur de « Bene Ya'aḳob » (Constantinople, 1714), comprenant un commentaire sur une partie du « Sefer ha-'Iṭṭur » d'Isaac b. Abba Mari, et quatorze responsa et novellæ sur le « Yad » de Maimonides et sur les quatre Ṭurim de Jacob b. Asher. En raison de la mort prématurée de Sason (à l'âge de trente et un ans), cette œuvre fut laissée inachevée.
