Babylonian Talmudic master, head of the academy of Mahoza. His debates with Abaye ("discussions of Abaye and Rava") are among the most subtle reasonings of the Talmud. The halakha almost always follows his opinion against Abaye.

This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Rava give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
