Rabbin et professeur contemporain, maître de l'auteur, qui œuvra sans relâche pour localiser et préserver les manuscrits des sages du Maroc, y compris dans des lieux isolés. Il dirige l'institut « Machon Orot » (ainsi que l'institut Bné Yissakhar) et contribua à sauver de nombreux écrits abîmés.
