Born in Jerusalem in the Meyuḥas family, he was Rishon le-Zion from 1756 until his death in 1771. He is the author of halakhic commentaries printed in Salonika. His son Moïse Joseph Mordekhaï Meyuḥas was himself also a renowned rabbi of Jerusalem.
