Dayan (juge) à Marrakech à partir de 5596, puis av beit din (président du tribunal rabbinique) et rabbin de la ville jusqu'à sa mort. Kabbaliste réputé pour sa piété et son érudition dans tout le Maroc au XIXe siècle. Il étudia dans les yeshivot de R. Chelomo Asbag et de R. Yossef Harosh. Il signait ses responsa de l'acronyme RMBM (Rafael Masoud Ben Moha). Son tribunal a rendu des centaines de décisions.
