Region: Tunis (Tunisie)

History register · custodian, not owner

Counted among the great rabbis of Tunisia, son of Rabbi David Dana. He founded and directed the yeshiva « Ḥevrat ha-Talmud » in Tunis, in reaction to the decline of traditional education in the face of French cultural expansion. His Talmudic innovations were published posthumously by his student.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Rabbi Shlomo Dana give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
