Rabbi of the communities of Larache, Ksar el-Kbir and Arcila in northern Morocco, and vice-president of the rabbinical court of Casablanca. After his immigration to Israel, he was Chief Rabbi Sephardi of Petah Tikva and member of the Council of the Chief Rabbinate.
