Né à Gabès en 1915, il enseigne la Torah dans les yeshivot de Tunis (parmi ses disciples, Rabbi Meïr Mazouz, fondateur de la yeshiva Kissé Rahamim). Il s'éteint à Jérusalem en 1975. Auteur de plusieurs volumes de commentaires.
