Le plus célèbre des saints de la famille Nahmiash (« Aït Nahmiash ») de Ouarzazate, vénéré par les juifs de la région. Père de Rabbi Yossef Nahmiash qui enseigna à Marrakech, il était de haute stature et l'on se précipitait pour lui baiser la main. Même les musulmans le révéraient et l'appelaient « Sidi Daoud Hmiash ». Décédé le 8 Eloul 5692 (1932), il est enterré à Tazda, faubourg de Ouarzazate ; sa hilloula a lieu le 8 Eloul.
