Fondateur de la lignée Ouazana (« Aït Ouazana »), né à Skoura près de Ouarzazate au début du XIXe siècle. Ayant gagné la Terre d'Israël, il en fut envoyé au Maroc comme émissaire rabbinique (chadar) pour collecter des fonds au profit des nécessiteux d'Eretz Israël. Sa venue dans le sud marocain, à travers la vallée du Draa, est entourée de légendes : réputé « versé dans les miracles » et guérisseur des femmes stériles, il aurait chevauché un lion vivant et fait son entrée à Ouarzazate escorté de fauves. Il épousa une juive du pays, dont il eut son fils David, et mourut peu après ; il est enterré à Aït Bou-Dial et sa hilloula a lieu le 3 Tevet.
