Born in Haifa into a family of Syrian Jews; his father was from Aleppo, his mother (settled in Manchester) of Aleppine origin. Renowned architect: Habitat 67 in Montreal, the new Yad Vashem museum in Jerusalem, Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore, the Crystal Bridges Museum, etc. He has also published several works on architecture.
