Professor of chemistry of Jewish origin from the mountains, he published the first Juhuri-Russian dictionary (Moscow, 1997, Quba dialect, ~9,000 entries), then an enlarged edition (Baku) comprising a Juhuri-Russian section (~14,000 words and phrases) and Russian-Juhuri (over 19,000 words). Also contributed to a modern Juhuri manual.
