Talmudiste, rabbin à Modène (1642) puis à Ferrare (1655). Il laissa des ouvrages restés manuscrits (non imprimés), dont un Shelom ha-Bayit et des Ḥiddushim (novellae talmudiques). Des responsa de la famille Cases sont cités chez ses contemporains, notamment dans le Paḥad Yitzḥak d'Isaac Lampronti.
