Born in Strasbourg in an Alsatian Jewish family, she studied in Berlin then in Paris in the studios of Fernand Léger and Amédée Ozenfant. Influenced by Mondrian, Van Doesburg, Léger and Malevitch, she developed rigorous geometric abstraction and joined the Abstraction-Création group in the 1930s. Her works are held in the Centre Pompidou, the MAMCS of Strasbourg (gift of 200 collages in 1980), the Museum of Grenoble, among others.
