Savant et auteur yéménite du XVe siècle, également appelé Ibn al-Mu'allim ou, en hébreu, Hoter ben Solomon. Il composa un midrash philosophique en judéo-arabe, un commentaire sur le commentaire de la Michna par Maïmonide, un commentaire sur les 13 principes, et une centaine de responsa. Sa pensée porte des traces de la doctrine des Frères de la Pureté.
