Yemenite scholar and author of the 15th century, also called Ibn al-Mu'allim or, in Hebrew, Hoter ben Solomon. He composed a philosophical midrash in Judeo-Arabic, a commentary on Maimonides' commentary on the Mishnah, a commentary on the 13 principles, and about a hundred responsa. His thought bears traces of the doctrine of the Brethren of Purity.
