Create the Great Book with our AIHistory register · custodian, not owner
Rabbi and printer of Amsterdam, he pleaded with Oliver Cromwell for the readmission of the Jews to England (1655), from which they had been expelled in 1290. His work The Hope of Israel linked the return of the Jews to England with messianic eschatology.
