Yiddish writer born in Odessa in 1879. Initially close to Zionist circles, he joined the Bund then emigrated to the United States. He wrote essays under the pseudonym « Duke D'Abruzzi » in the radical press (Fraye Arbeter Shtime) and was a prolific translator (Chekhov, Brandes, Ibsen), close to the literary circle Di Yunge in New York.
