Painter born in 1903 in Monastir (Tunisia), trained at the Grande Chaumière Academy in Paris (1926), considered a leading figure of Tunisian painters of the School of Paris; landscapes of Tunisia (Tunis, La Goulette, Sfax, Sidi-Bou-Saïd) and Parisian scenes. Died in Paris in 1963.
