Born in Tunis in 1888, died September 26, 1924. Trained at the yeshiva of rabbi Shlomo Dana and at the Alliance israélite universelle, he became a Hebrew teacher, secretary to the Chief Rabbi Moshé Sitruk then to the Tunisian Chief Rabbinate (1922). Co-founder in 1910 of Agoudat Tsion, the first legal Zionist organization in Tunis, he represented it at the 12th Zionist Congress (1921).
