Poète liturgique. Sept prières portant le nom « Joseph ben Abraham » se trouvent dans le Siddur d'Avignon. Zunz identifie ce Joseph avec Joseph de Monselice, dont la seliḥah pour le dix-sept de Tammuz est insérée dans le rituel de Carpentras (éd. d'Amsterdam, 1762). Il est possible que le poète liturgique Saul ben Joseph, dont le poème se trouve dans le même rituel, était un fils de ce Joseph.
