Yiddish editor, poet and humorist born in Odessa, emigrated to the United States in 1893. He took over and long directed the satirical weekly Der Groyser Kundes (« The Grand Prankster »), which he transformed into an important literary and political journal attracting contributors such as Sholem-Aleikhem, Yehoash and Avrom Reyzen. He also published three poetry collections.
