Maskil de Lemberg. Avec son beau-frère A. M. Mohr, il publia la revue de critique « Ha-Ro'eh u-Mevakker Sifrei Meḥabberei Zemannenu » (1838–39) puis le périodique « Yerushalayim » (1844–45) ; il donna commentaires bibliques et traductions poétiques dans « Kokhevei Yiẓḥak ».
