Massorète et imprimeur né vers 1470 à Tunis, mort avant 1538, Jacob ben Ḥayyim ben Isaac ibn Adonijah quitte son pays natal lors des persécutions du début du seizième siècle et s'installe à Venise, où il travaille comme correcteur pour l'imprimerie hébraïque de Daniel Bomberg. Il est surtout connu pour son édition de la Bible rabbinique (1524-25), enrichie de notes massorétiques et d'une introduction consacrée à la Massorah; à la fin de sa vie, il se convertit au christianisme.
