Né le 14 juillet 1858 à Szczawnik, docteur en philosophie de l'université d'Erlangen-Nuremberg, il fut rabbin de la communauté juive de Heřmanův Městec (Bohême) de 1908 à 1938. Déporté à Theresienstadt le 5 décembre 1942, il y meurt le 19 octobre 1943. Il est documenté comme victime de la Shoah dans plusieurs bases mémorielles.
