Tossafiste allemand du XIIIe siècle, mort avant 1298. Élève du tossafiste Samuel de Bamberg, il fut appelé vers 1250 à lui succéder comme rabbin de Bamberg. Sa famille périt lors de la persécution de la fin du siècle, après sa propre mort ; ses tossafot sont souvent cités sous le nom de « Tosafot ha-Rab R. Israël ».
