English actress and singer, born in London on 26 June 1828 and died in that city on 21 April 1877. Trained by her father, actor and singer John Isaacs, she made her stage debut on 17 March 1835, took leading roles in the English opera season at Drury Lane in 1846, performed frequently alongside Sims Reeves, produced a series of operas at the Strand Theatre in 1852-55, and created the role of Leila in "Satanella" at Covent Garden in 1858; her soprano voice was renowned for its amplitude and sweetness.

Actrice et chanteuse anglaise ; née à Londres le 26 juin 1828 ; décédée dans cette ville le 21 avril 1877. Son père, John Isaacs, acteur et chanteur du Covent Garden Theater, l'a formée pour la scène, sur laquelle elle fit ses premiers pas le 17 mars 1835. Elle tint les rôles principaux dans la saison d'opéra anglais du Drury Lane Theater en 1846, et apparut souvent en concert et en opéra avec Sims Reeves. Elle produisit une série d'opéras au Strand Theater en 1852-55, et créa le rôle de _Leila_ dans l'opéra « Satanella », au Covent Garden Theater, en 1858. Sa voix était un soprano d'une grande étendue et douceur.
