Isaac Wallich transcrivit en lettres hébraïques un recueil d'environ 55 chansons de son temps (surtout des chansons populaires allemandes, dont douze à thème juif). Le 'manuscrit Wallich' (début XVIIe s.) conserve des exemples du répertoire du badkhn médiéval et compte parmi les documentations anciennes de la chanson yiddish.
