Disciple of Abraham ben David of Posquières (the Rabad). He wrote a commentary, now lost, on several tractates of the Talmud Yerushalmi, cited by later authorities such as Isaac of Lattes and Menahem ha-Meïri. The Jewish Encyclopedia possibly links him to the "Isaac ha-Kohen" whose ritual authority is often invoked by Aaron ha-Kohen in the Orhot Hayyim.

Talmudiste français; vécut aux douzième et treizième siècles; disciple d'Abraham ben David de Posquières. Il fut l'auteur d'un commentaire, qui n'existe plus de nos jours, sur divers traités du Talmud de Jérusalem. Ce commentaire est mentionné par Isaac de Lattes et Menahem Me'iri. Gross l'identifie avec l'Isaac ha-Kohen dont l'autorité en matière de droit rituel est fréquemment invoquée par Aaron ha-Kohen dans son "Orḥot Ḥayyim."
