Disciple d'Abraham ben David de Posquières (le Rabad). Il rédigea un commentaire, aujourd'hui perdu, sur plusieurs traités du Talmud de Jérusalem, cité par des autorités postérieures comme Isaac de Lattes et Menahem ha-Meïri. La Jewish Encyclopedia le rattache possiblement à l'« Isaac ha-Kohen » dont l'autorité rituelle est souvent invoquée par Aaron ha-Kohen dans les Orhot Hayyim.
