Isaac ben Samuel Ha-zaḳen

Tossafiste et commentateur biblique français, actif à Ramerupt puis à Dampierre au XIIe siècle, surnommé « ha-Zaḳen » pour le distinguer d'un tossafiste homonyme plus jeune. Selon Gross, il serait né au plus tard en 1115 et mort entre 1185 et 1195 ; petit-fils de R. Simḥa de Vitry et neveu de R. Tam, il étudia sous ce dernier avant de fonder à Dampierre une école florissante que fréquentèrent, dit-on, une soixantaine d'élèves. Vivant sous Philippe Auguste, il interdit l'achat de biens juifs confisqués et compléta le commentaire de Rachi sur le Talmud par ses propres tossafot.
