Rabbin et auteur polonais, mort à Posen en 1685. Élève de R. Jonas Teomim et collègue de R. Moïse Zacuto, il fut rabbin de Loutsk en Volhynie puis de Grodno, avant d'être appelé en 1664 à Vilna pour succéder à R. Moïse, auteur du « Ḥelḳat Meḥoḳeḳ », puis, en 1667, au rabbinat de Posen. Sa vaste connaissance du Talmud et de la Kabbale lui valut le surnom de « Rabbi Isaac le Grand ».
