Élève d'Isaac Uzziel, il rédigea en espagnol le Tesoro de Preceptos (Venise 1627 ; 2e éd. Amsterdam 1649), exposé des 613 commandements pour les juifs de la diaspora séfarade ne maîtrisant plus l'hébreu.
