Écrivain et philosophe espagnol actif vers 1461-89, résidant à Ségovie puis à Almazán, disciple de Maïmonide malgré l'opposition déclarée de son grand-père et de son père à ce dernier. Il rédigea à Ségovie en 1461 un traité sur la matière et la forme, acheva à Almazán en 1478 un commentaire sur le « De Anima » d'Aristote d'après Averroès, puis en 1480 un commentaire sur la « Physique » du même Averroès, et acheva en 1489 ses « Derashot ha-Torah », homélies sur le Pentateuque imprimées à Salonique, Venise puis Padoue au cours du seizième siècle. Son commentaire sur le « Guide » de Maïmonide, imprimé à Venise en 1551, reste son œuvre principale.
