Rabbin de Francfort-sur-le-Main, mort dans cette ville le 8 septembre 1817. Il avait succédé à son père dans le rabbinat de Francfort en 1805. Il est l'auteur de « Maḥaneh Lewi », novellæ halakhiques parues à Offenbach en 1801, et de « Laḥme Todah », qui complète cet ouvrage, publié en 1816 ; Carmoly affirme avoir vu en manuscrit deux autres de ses œuvres, le « Ḥomer ha-Ḳodesh », un recueil de responsa, et un commentaire biblique intitulé « Birkat ha-Torah ».
