Talmudiste lituanien du dix-septième siècle, dit R. Löb Zietiler. Après avoir dirigé plusieurs yeshivot en Allemagne, il fut appelé à la tête de la yeshiva de Minsk du temps où Jehiel Heilprin en était le grand rabbin. Il est l'auteur du « Margenita Ṭaba », défense du « Sefer ha-Miẓwot » de Maïmonide contre les critiques de Naḥmanide, publié à Francfort-sur-le-Main en 1756 ; selon la préface ajoutée par son fils, il aurait aussi rédigé des novellæ sur le Talmud et l'« Elef ha-Magen », autre défense de Maïmonide.
