Michel Hemerdinger est un juriste français né à Colmar, en Alsace, le 1er mai 1809, et mort à Paris le 22 juin 1880. Bachelier ès lettres de Strasbourg en 1829, il entre à l'école rabbinique de Metz avant de se tourner vers le droit à Paris en 1830, où il est admis au barreau en 1833. Secrétaire de la Société des avocats en 1838, membre du Consistoire central israélite en 1845, il devient en 1848 procureur de la République par intérim, et exerce enfin comme juge de paix à Paris de 1870 à 1879.
