Éphraïm ben Samuel Sanvel Hekscher est président de la communauté juive d'Altona au début du XVIIIe siècle, auteur de Dibre Ḥakamim we-Ḥidotam, sur les sources et interprétations de nombreuses lois rabbiniques (Altona, 1743), de Adne Faz, responsa sur le Choulhan Aroukh (1743), et de Liwyat Ḥen, novellae talmudiques dont la première partie parut en 1732 et la seconde, éditée par son fils Issachar, en 1743.
