Maximilian Heine est un médecin allemand, plus jeune frère de Heinrich Heine, né à Düsseldorf (1805 selon Embden, 1807 selon Strodtmann) et mort à Berlin le 6 novembre 1879. Formé à Düsseldorf et à Lunebourg puis aux universités de Berlin et de Munich, il obtient son doctorat en médecine en 1829 et rejoint aussitôt l'armée russe comme chirurgien, prenant part à la campagne des Balkans en 1830 et à la répression du soulèvement polonais en 1832, avant de s'établir à Saint-Pétersbourg. Il y fonde la Medizinische Zeitung Russlands, qu'il dirige de 1844 à 1859, et publie notamment ses souvenirs sur son frère, Erinnerungen an Heinrich Heine und Seine Familie (Berlin, 1868).
