David Heilbron est un médecin néerlandais né à La Haye le 4 juillet 1762 et mort à Amsterdam en 1847, docteur en médecine de Leyde en 1784. Il exerce dans sa ville natale de 1785 à 1800, avant de s'installer à Amsterdam, où il siège longtemps au conseil de santé et pratique jusqu'à la fin de sa vie. Il publie plusieurs traités médicaux en néerlandais entre 1790 et 1824, notamment sur les affections oculaires révélatrices de maladies aiguës et chroniques.
