Ḥayyim Jacob ben Jacob David est un rabbin de Smyrne actif aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, disciple de Ḥayyim ben Jacob Aboulafia, auteur du 'Eṣ Ḥayyim. Établi à Safed, il est envoyé en mission plusieurs années en Afrique du Nord, où on le trouve à Tunis en 1718 puis en Algérie en 1729, avant d'être envoyé en Europe, où il publie en Hollande Ṣeror ha-Ḥayyim, novellae sur le Yad de Maïmonide (Amsterdam, 1738), et Samma de-Ḥayye, responsa et notes sur les quatre Ṭourim (1739).
