Elijah ibn Ḥayyim est un rabbin de Constantinople, peut-être le successeur immédiat d'Élie Mizraḥi, né vers 1532 et mort au début du XVIIe siècle ; ses responsa mentionnent une date de 1562 et une autre de 1601, et sa préface indique qu'il avait dépassé soixante-dix ans à sa mort. De son œuvre subsistent des responsa et des novellae sur Ketoubot, ainsi qu'une seconde partie de responsa publiée avec le Mayim 'Amuḳḳim (Venise, 1645) et des homélies sur le Pentateuque, Imre Shefer (Venise, 1629 ; 2e éd. Francfort-sur-le-Main, 1712).
