Ḥayyim ben Salomon est un prédicateur judéo-polonais né à Wilna et mort dans cette ville en décembre 1804 (peut-être 1794), à un âge avancé. Fils de R. Salomon ben Ḥayyim, mort en 1766, dayyan et prédicateur de Wilna, ami du Gaon Élie de Wilna, il est nommé en 1757 prédicateur itinérant par Raphaël ha-Cohen, alors rabbin de Minsk, avant d'occuper à son tour, dans ses dernières années, le poste de prédicateur de son père à Wilna. En 1796, il fut l'un des deux émissaires envoyés par les rabbins et notables de Wilna pour lutter contre le hassidisme.
