Ḥasdaï ben Salomon est un rabbin espagnol probablement né à Tudèle, disciple de R. Nissim Gerondi à Barcelone, que son ami Isaac ben Sheshet appelait le « digne d'Espagne ». Rabbin jusqu'en 1379, année où la peste éclate à Tudèle, il part alors, toujours célibataire, exercer à Valence. Correspondant de Ḥasdaï Crescas et d'Isaac ben Sheshet, il s'oppose par piété rigoureuse aux innovations rituelles introduites par Ḥayyim Galipapa de Pampelune.
